Switzerland for Nick's conference, continued

We were in Les Diablerets, Switzerland for a week for Nick's conference, and Owen and I enjoyed walks around town, visiting with friends, and mid-day hikes with Nick during his breaks.  After the conference we traveled to Lausanne to visit our friends from graduate school and had a picnic by Lake Geneva.  It was a great trip!

Owen and I met some cows in the street

We stood behind a little fence just in case the more curious ones got too close...

The little train that climbed up up up to Les Diablerets

Kate and Katie came over to visit us

From our hotel balcony.  This photo makes me think of some movie ad... is it Twilight that I'm thinking of?

The little monkey loved this seat in our hotel room

The best hikes involved walking over this suspension bridge... NOT my favorite part.

Maximum 3 persons!

Tasting Swiss rocks.

And touching Swiss mountain water... it was cold!

This bridge was not overbuilt.

Climbing the covers of the bed.

Happy Father's day, Dad!

The hike to the waterfall tired Owen out.

A nectarine hit the spot.

Happy Father's day, Dad!

Looking down...

This helicopter flew right by our train window!

Catching up with friends

Traveling is exhausting.  :)
